Muscle MRI was used to assess muscular fatty infiltration in the lower limbs of 35 FSHD1 patients and 22 healthy volunteers. MFM was used for clinical evaluation of patients.
Mean intramuscular fat fraction was inversely correlated with MFM subscore D1 (p0.01) further illustrating the sensitivity of the approach.
