Impaired Mandibular Function in Spinal Muscular Atrophy Type II: Need for Early Recognition

The aim of the study is to assess mandibular function in young patients with spinal muscular atrophy type II. The mandibular function impairment of 12 patients with a SMA was moderate to severe in 50% of patients. The severity of impairment was correlated with the severity of the disease assessed by MFM.
