PLoS One. 2015. 10(2): e0113999.
Results of a multicenter study using specifically designed tools to assess grip, pinch strength, and hand function in wheelchair-bound patients in 53 non-ambulant patients with Duchenne muscular dystrophy aged 9-28 years. MFM was also performed at baseline and 6 and 12 months later.
Results showed that function is directly correlated with strength as measured by the MyoSet and MFM-D3 score.
